Easy set up, and good for older TV receivers

This is my second Roku, so setup was a breeze. I was a little surprised that this one uses infrared to communicate with the device, but no problem. I have the last TV made that doesn't have an HDMI port, so the RCA jacks made the connection possible. This wa the main factor in my satisfaction rating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this for my mom as a gift, after she had not had cable for a couple of months and she loves watching Netflix in it and being able to choose different apps. It is her favorite thing now.

A great alternative

The Roku 1 has been an excellent alternative to mind numbing satelite tv. I' m canceling the satelite and will be much better entertained via Roku alternatives and at a huge savings. It worked right out of the box-however it took me 2 days to figure out how to adjust my tv to work-could have used a teenager's help. Great purchase and now I can watch tv that I enjoy!

This is my 3rd Roku purchase. I stick, and 2 Roku 2's, one for a gift. Something so simple and easy to setup that brings so much entertainment and enjoyment! Would highly recommend!

My husband and I bought this as a Christmas present to ourselves and we are loving it we like watching movies but on regular tv you had to watch them when they were on and that did not always work now we watch when we are ready watched more in the past month than we have in years!
