Setting up channels is easy. There are a lot of different shows to choose from and the picture quality is perfect. If you have a decent internet speed then you should have no problems watching seamless quality movies. The movies on some channels are recent and some are old goodies. Either way it's worth it.

I received the Roku 1 as a Christmas present. Had a Wii before that. Love the Roku 1. So much easier to navigate and was super easy to set up.

Good Streaming Experience

We chose to switch to online viewing when our two year contract was set to expire with our TV provider. Having one new set and one 15 year old set, we tried the Roku 1 as our means of watching internet TV. The TV provider has since come back with an offer we couldn't refuse, no not a horse's head in the bed, so we are continuing to watch with the provider, but we are also still using the Roku 1. It easily plugs into either the newer set or the interface for the older one, and we can watch movies as well as some TV shows wherever we have a set, saving a monthly charge for the second set. This was our first experience with attempting to stream our programming and we are certain that this platform is the way of the future.

have owned a Roku for a few years now and love it. seldom watch anything else.
we love being able to get programmes from all over the world. couldn't do without it now.
