Got this for Christmas and absolutely love it. So much to choose from. User friendly, really easy to load and remove channels. You can spend hour just seeing what's available Love it!

A friend of mine had a roku stick and I watched Netflix on it and fell in love! I received roku 2, the box, this Christmas and I set it up only to be disappointed that my set up looked nothing like my friend's. My Netflix does not automatically start the next episode in a series and I don't like how basic mine looks. My friend's roku looked so stylish and cool. I'm disappointed with the roku 2.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replaced my old Roku

I bought this as a gift to myself since my old Roku was becoming obsolete and not connecting to my cable app or other apps reliably. Best purchase ever and I'm able to watch all the channels I was watching before. It still works with my ancient TV since I don't have cable in the bedroom and this is my only way to watch my cable and other channels in that room.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got it as. A Xmas gift was happy but Netflix does not work all I get is retrieving tried to troubleshoot but still the same retrieving

better than cable

my daughter got me the Roku for Christmas and I love it. I broke my ties with cable tv because their rates kept going up. I got an antenna but was still missing some of my favorite shows even with Hulu Plus. I got the CBS app and am catching up on all I missed. The only thing I think is a drawback is some of the apps require your tv provider and without one you can't access. Otherwise I will never go back to cable.
