the only thing that there is a constant and several time that it has to retrieve the program that we are watching but I don't know of that is from that or through the internet.

I have had the Roku stick and never gave it much thought to search the channels until I got the Roku 1 and put it in my living room I had no idea how many free channels there were.

So far the product is good. Sometimes I have to restart episodes from them stopping all of a sudden. Other than that, it's great

Since I didn't want cable, this is a great and cheaper alternative. Easy to install, and turned my old tv into a way to stream Hulu, Amazon and Netflix. Who needs cable when I can watch what I want, when I want? I quickly found answers to my setup questions on the Roku website. Love that I can use my iPhone as a remote.

Surprisingly slow

I bought this to replace an original Roku. While the interface is closer to the Roku 3 that I have the performance isn't even close. It comes with an IR remote instead of an RF remote like the Roku 3.
If I knew this, I would've bought another R3 instead
