I recently got rid of cable and was looking for some more option for things to watch. Roku offers just that. There are a lot of free apps but then some of the apps you will have to pay minimal fees for services such as Netflix, Hulu Plus and Cinema Now. We had Netflix already. Really glad I read the reviews so I knew what to expect.

This is my second Roku 1. I love it! It's simple to set up, does exactly what I need it to do (Netflix and Hulu) and doesn't give me too much trouble.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this specific model because I still have one older TV that doesn't have a HDMI hook-up. Works perfectly! Make my old TV just as enjoyable as my newer TV's. Highly recommend! Programmed my smart phone to use as a spare remote. Works perfectly. Easy set-up even for a grandparent like me.
