REAL NICE RETRO-STYLE RANGE...

I'VE ONLY HAD THIS RANGE A FEW DAYS
BUT SO FAR I LIKE IT.THIS RANGE IS REAL NICE LOOKING-IT'S
"RETRO" STYLE.IT REALLY DOES LOOK VINTAGE.IT'S WELL BUILT ALSO. I WAS ORIGINALLY GOING TO PURCHASE A PRICEY "BIG CHILL" RANGE,BUT THEN I SPOTTED THIS ONE.THIS IS A REAL SIMPLE " BARE BONES" RANGE --IT DOESN'T HAVE ALL THOSE NEEDLESS BELLS AND WHISTLES.THERE'S NO TIMER OR SELF CLEAN, BUT WHO CARES. IT DOES WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO-COOK FOOD WITHOUT ALL THE RIDICULOUS DIGITAL DISPLAYS THAT JUST END UP FAILING IN A SHORT TIME ANYWAY.BOUGHT THIS RANGE TO REPLACE AN OVERPRICED JENN-AIR DOUBLE OVEN/DUAL FUEL OVEN BECAUSE THE CONTROL PANEL FAILED AFTER JUST A FEW YEARS.DECIDED TO GO BACK TO BASICS.LESSON LEARNED --SIMPLE IS BETTER.

Professional Retro Style!

I took delivery of my GE Artistry electric range this week. I'm very pleased with this product. I was looking for something with a retro feel for my 1930's style kitchen and this fit right in. I was impressed with the professional feel of this range. The up front controls are usually seen on much higher end appliances. I love the simplicity of the range also. The analog clock keeps time well and I hadn't noticed that it was loud as some other reviewers noted. The glass in the oven door is huge. It makes it very easy to keep an eye on whatever you're baking. I chose white and I think the stainless touches would make it fit in with a kitchen that had other stainless as well. Now if they'd only make it in mint green......

I just bought that and it looks great and cooks great. Not too sure people with children would like the position of the knobs but they work great for me. Love the design.

This was purchased for our retirement home, I only wish we had this brand in our main home because instantly I could tell the quality difference even though both items were of similar cost. Quality difference in cooking, baking, looks, and build are not even comparable to my other one which is only a year old...this GE is just SO much better!

great clean look

I love the look I love the simplicity!! I haven't had it long enough to figure which burners are best for what use- boiling vs simmering and I am not quite sure the oven temperature is accurate. My cakes and pies needed to cook longer but overall I am so very pleased! I needed the controls in the front. This is the only electric range that offers that option. Yes, I am pleased!

We have had the stove about a week now. We like it and our satisfied in that it
functions as expected. There is some clock noise but very little. It may go away on it"s own and is really only noticeable when it's absolutely quiet at night. It should not be considered as an issue at all. The stove is a very good value.

So beautiful! Years ago, when I started dreaming of re-doing our kitchen to look more like the kitchens of the 1930's and 1940's, I saw those high-end reproductions of old appliances, and thought it was a shame there was nothing in a better price than would look good with my Depression-Era cabinets and glassware. When I found the Artistry series, and saw the prices, I couldn't believe my luck! This looks like something that belongs in the kitchen of somebody who didn't have a budget to worry about! On top of that, there are no electronics to wear out, because that's what electronics do. I was skeptical about the glasstop, because I've used glasstop stoves that took forever to boil water, but this one boiled an enormous kettle of water in less time than my old electric coil stove. I heard a rumor that this line won't be available much longer, which is a shame.

Wonderful, great performance

I purchased all three pieces of the GE Artistry Series for the simplicity and look. I love this series and have no complaints. Each piece is easy to use, there are no complicated programming. All three pieces are easy to clean and hold their shine. To clean, I use a microfiber cloth with no other cleaning sprays or chemical ( they will leave a streak) on the surface of the frig and dishwasher. It easily wipes away any smudges. On the stove top, I use the recommended ceramic cleaner and microfiber cloth. Simple as that, sparkling clean! And the stove cooks evenly both on the top and oven.Thank you GE for making this retro series it is the design I have always wanted!
