Lack of features.

I just received my stove today and was pleased with the style and look of the stove, small features were omitted, the clock need a small light and it should have had a self cleaning oven

While the design is great, the execution could have been better. There are three key issues I have with the range.
1. Self cleaning. Seems like a cost cutting measure that in the end doesn't make this as desirable. I only went with this range to match the dishwasher and fridge which I really like.
2. Workmanship. I totally thought that the bottom drawer would be built better. Not a sheet of metal stamped and bent. There is a looks like a scuff or dirt on the top front corners of the drawer but it's actually a space where the metal doesn't meet perfectly.
3. Clock. It makes a lot of sound and not in a good way when the house is quiet.

Have had this stove about 3 weeks and am so happy with it. I needed up-front controls as I am short; Tired of reaching over hot pots and getting burned. This was the only free-standing electric range available with front knobs in my budget.
Electric burners respond quickly, like gas. Love that!! Oven is true to temp. I haven't noticed the clock being loud, like many others have reported. I love the retro look.
I suppose a timer would be nice, but I didn't have one before, so I don't really miss it. NOTE: This oven is not self-cleaning. Again, I didn't have that before, so I don't really miss it. And I am very careful to avoid spillovers by baking everything potentially messy on an oversized sheet pan.
I chose this stove primarily because of the front-panel placement of the knobs, which was very hard to find in my price range. The retro look was a bonus. I love simple, intuitive design and this stove is simple and intuitive. The glass top is easy to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!
