It is very good basic microwave

Previously we had GE microwave. It was a great product for 5 years. Unfortunately we got a high cost problem and had to buy a new one. I guess it was just a bad luck because usually GE microwaves have good reputations. We got a new one – it is pretty basic model and we love it. Hope this model will be working over 5-7 years.

Works Great, Easy Install

Installation went far easier than I thought. I had hope to reuse the install bracket from another GE Microwave this one was replacing, but I guess it changed after twelve years. At any rate, after installing the new bracket and drilling a couple of new holes, this baby went in without a hitch. It is much quieter ( both the vent fan and the microwave operation ) than the old one. It also gives a lot better surface light on the stove. My wife loves it. Only negative might be the display. They have changed the display to a bright blue led light, and it tends to blur at a distance. I preferred the old green led lighting. It was slightly larger, and easily read from across the room.

Burns out in no time

I've bought two of these microwaves within the last two years. Both have started popping the circuit breaker every use and become inoperable within 13 months. Heavily recommend DO NOT BUY

Blows fuse

Blows fuse when door is opened. Replacement parts cost more than actual microwave when purchased new. My last microwave served us 16 years and this GE, just under 2.

Quite operation and great features

Very impressed with all of the features and how quite it is when cooking. The charcoal vent fan works great to eliminate Stovetop cooking orders and is also so much quieter than my older unit. Great microwave and the best value I found from my research.

Poor quality

This is our second one of this model. It matches the other GE appliances in the kitchen. For the second time the microwave is broken and is more expensive to repair than to buy a new one. Buy knowing this thing will only last about 18 months. Just enough time for the warranty to be up.

Fuse keep blowing

Good basic microwave

After shopping for several different models, I chose this one because it is not too complicated. Our use of the microwave is generally pretty basic: reheat items, prepare microwave ready items, i.e. popcorn, veggies, etc. Therefore, we did not need the multitude of other features that some models had along with a price that was much higher. This product will suit our needs just fine.
