Died after about a year

This microwave worked well for about 1 year. Then, for a couple of weeks, it would short the circuit every time the handle was pulled during cooking. Eventually, it started shorting during cooking, even if the handle wasn’t touched. I made sure nothing else was plugged into the same circuit besides the oven (which wasn’t usual on at the same time as the microwave). I’ve read that this is a common problem with GE microwaves of this style.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We only use GE appliances cause the only reason why we bought this one because the last microwave we had was a GE and it last us for 21 years and me and my husband was upset that it stop working then we started laughing at ourselves not think that 21 years was a long time so we hope this GE MICROWAVE last just as long as the other one
