I LOVE GE products, especially the fridge/oven. In order to keep the kitchen the same with same brand appliances - this was basically my only GE option. It does not work well. It barely recirculates air when I turn the vent on. Steam from the oven is not dispersed by this appliance like I would have hoped. I am sad because GE does a great job with all other appliances- I wish this was a better microwave. Not worth spending the money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Same features as our old GE microwave. Somewhat easy to install by homeowner. More difficult to install on a tiled rear surface. A little larger than the older model that reduces area above range.

I should hav read the reviews before purchasing this over the stove microwave. The door glass dogs when using the fan to vent stovetop cooking outside of the house. GE’s solution is to leave the door open for 20 minutes to allow it to dry. POOR DESIGN. I had GE microwaves for 30 years and this is the first one with this problem. I am also disappointed with the clock color. A white display is much harder to see than green and does not match my other GE products. The door feels and sounds poorly made. This is the last GE product my wife and I will be purchasing.

We bought this microwave because GE has lived up to the hype. If you want reliable and affordable appliances then buy GE. We purchased this to match our new oven and the handles and color match perfect. The microwave works as it is suppose to. The included template and instructions make installation a breeze. Buy with confidence.

Just installed my new microwave today. It fits perfectly, looks beautiful, and works perfectly. I hope to enjoy this one for many years to come. I upgraded to this one, not because my last GE over the counter didn't work, but only because it was not stainless. It was ten years old and working just as it did the day it was installed. Because I upgraded to a stainless GE range, I had to have the matching over the counter microwave. So happy I did!!!!
