Problems after a month

Using the number pad to set time has created indentations in the coating where they have been pushed. I am very concerned this will only get worse. Other than that, it works fine - as did a similar model before this. I would like to know if this is covered under warranty.

Bought this to replace a GE microwave which was supposed to be exactly the same. That one lasted about 2 years! Got this one home and had a problem today and had to unplug it to reset. It kept repeating END and beeping over and over again. We will see how long this one will last!

Microwave worked well. Some suggestions like reduce fan noise and be able to hit "cancel" when you want the timer etc. to turn off.

Hi AZGolfer2, we're glad your new microwave has been working well. In regard to the fan, all over-the-range microwaves have an automatic fan feature to help protect the electronic components, and this also helps the cooking area get rid of excess heat. The built-in thermostat automatically turns the vent fan on if the unit is too hot, and will not turn off until the microwave is cool again. You will not be able to turn the vent fan off manually during this time.

Also, according to page 12 of the owner's manual, you should be able to hit the Timer button or Cancel button to cancel the timer. If this isn't working as it should, we recommend disconnecting power to your unit for 2-3 minutes to reset the controls. We're wishing you the best!

Great microwave!

When something breaks, we go to GE for great products. This microwave works very well. The door takes a little gusto to tug open, but otherwise, I have no complaints with the appliance itself. I do love that it has the quick settings where you punch "1" and it runs for 1 minute. The beverage setting also works really well. (Regarding installation: My husband and I installed this ourselves, and it was extremely challenging because the paper template for drilling holes was not accurate or easy to use since we had to drill from under our cabinet and there was a 1/2" lip. We ended up using a measuring tape to align the holes and were still off by enough that we had to drill the holes bigger. I would guess that it took at least 2 hours to get it installed. So make sure you eat before you start working on this if you plan to tackle installation yourself, lol.)

2nd microwave in 3 years

We purchased a second microwave, the same model that we purchased in 2017. The old one stopped heating anything and we were told that it would cost just as much to fix it, so we purchased another because it fits into the space. I hope this one lasts more than 3 years!

Easy to see features and bright clock.

Inside dimension a bit small for my bacon rack, but otherwise works like a dream. Guess I'll be looking for a smaller rack. Timer works perfectly and no need to hold the button down when you wish to cancel.
