What you read in the reviews are True with this unit. I DIY installed this and I'm there no surprises. Great instructions, everything was there. I gave this unit a 4 out of 5 because of the fan/vent noise. It is noisy, but I still recommend it.

I was astounded at the quality finish and ease of installation of this microwave. It is undoubtedly one of the best micro waves I have ever purchased. GE for all the quality they’re known for has outdone themselves with this microwave

This product works as promised . It really is a few frills unit ( basic ) . It does what it needs to do , but has few extra features . I almost wish I had spent more to get an upgraded unit .

Poor craftsmanship

Item was returned soon after trying to install. Hardware inside of the microwave came undone. After calling GE, their initial solution was impossible, I would've had to have taken the microwave apart to fix unsecured hardware. Item returned to place of purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
