Unreliable after just one year - just after warranty expired- it stopped working.

The previous two G.E. microwaves I have had only lasted 2 yr or less each. Hoping this one will be better.

I’m enjoying the various preset heating options and how fast it heats. Only one minor drawback - it’s difficult to read what’s written on the buttons. They need to be in a lighter color or illuminated.

This Microwave has served us well -

We are a retired couple and this microwave has served us well. We use it many times per day, heating liquids to cooking a meal. It is over our oven so ideal for preparing a meal that needs both conventional and microwave preparation. The control panel went out in the early weeks and was replaced under warranty. We have had no other issues with the product now on its 9th year. Its predecessor was also a GE for nearly ten years. The previous GE Microwave had two features this model did not: 1. Programming a preset, frequently used cook time; and 2. Buttons that let you add small increments of time, e.g 10 seconds. We could not find these features in replacing a black under the counter microwave. This is the reason why four stars rather than five stars. Be careful with the black finish, especially on the control panel. Even small scratches are noticeable.
