Love the appearance! Has a modern look. Quiet when in use. Can turn the turntable on or off. Love the lights underneath that illuminates under microwave and surrounding area.

This model fits in same space as the next GE model up which we previously had. It is quieter and cheaper and only lacks a couple of additional button options.

Not as Good as it Used to be!

This new unit replaced a 16 year old GE Profile model. The old unit was a much better piece of equipment. The new control panel is harder to use. The door does not easily close at the to latch. If is not closed carefully and completely, the microwave oven will not start.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension.
If the microwave starts as soon as the door is closed, the microwave isn't really starting; the fan is coming on in anticipation of the unit starting. Try shutting the door firmly three times to avoid the fan sound in future use.

It worked OK. Controls are hard to get used to I had a GEXL 1400 really liked it had it for 22 years never had no problems with it I just hope this one lasts half hours long
