Inconsistent cooking

The microwave looks pretty but doesn’t cook my food. It eaves parts charred and others raw. Prime example, bacon. I miss my 20 year old microwave that cooked my bacon perfectly.

Poor quality

GE is aware of the door switch issue which causes internal fuse to blow or the circuit breaker to trip. Known problem, but no resolution except to purchase a new one. This is my second and last GE due to this known issue. Both microwaves had same issue.

We're terribly sorry to hear that you have been having an issue with the door switch tripping the fuse. We do understand how incredibly frustrating that must be and would like to provide some tips. If the microwave trips the house fuse or breaker:

Be certain the microwave is on its own dedicated circuit.
Reset the breaker or replace the household fuse and try the microwave one more time.
If the breaker trips off again, unplug the microwave and contact service.

Died after 2 years and 6 months!

Our microwave was used every day, but was taken care of and kept clean. After just a couple of years, it started popping the circuit in the breaker box. Magnetron problems? Who knows, but it can only be used as an expensive bread box! UGH! I'm attaching a pic of the label, in case anyone wants to compare notes. Thank God for circuit breakers...
