Despite minimal use, the microwave expired in three years. Worse, it appeared to have a short.

It works but it could be better

The system to mount it above the range is more complicated than it needs to be, and the instructions to do so are not good. The buttons on the keypad require pressing hard (and I have strong fingers). I replaced another GE microwave of the same size which I purchased 15 years ago and the holes to mount are unnecessarily in different places, requiring drilling more holes on the wall and on the cabinet bottom above it. A mounting system is needed in order to assure that there will be wall studs in at least 2 places for a firm installation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We replaced our old white under cabinet microwave With this one that matches our other appliances. I love how it looks and it’s so quiet when in use! Definitely has a learning curve compared to the old basic one, but it’s great so far. My one big complaint is the touch pad is very dark and it’s hard to see what buttons I’m looking for as it is not backlit. I bought a small light to stick on the microwave to be able to see better, apparently my kitchen lighting is not very good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

First one lasted 22 days I am only two weeks into the new one. I bought this product because I replaced one that lasted 6 years.
