This brand and model has been problematic. Weird noise on low fan setting. Previous two quit working after about 1 year of use. Just past warranty.

Hope this last longer than 2.4 years!

Replacing a GE microwave that lasted only 2yrs and 4 months! I called numerous times to see if the installation fees can be waived but it was not. Cannot believe modern appliances last only 2.5 years!! I wish GE would waive the fees for the inconvenience.

Never Buy GE.

Gone are the days when you can expect a GE appliance to last more than 10 years. I normally don’t give bad reviews, but my microwave is three years old and it has stopped working twice in that time frame. It was the micro switches in the door last time and I suspect they are faulty again. The cost of having the appliance repair person come in twice to fix, buys a new microwave. I suggest another brand, GE is just not what it used to be.

2 yrs old trips fusebox

Love the way it operated but after only 2 yrs of operation by 1 person household senior, it stopped working. Tripped fusebox every time you hit start. Technician said it is most likely the door and doorlatch assembly and that is more expensive to repair by the time you add in trip fee, my labor, and the parts than buying a new one. Really? After only two years?????

Durability and reliability is a big question?

I have been buying the same GE over the range microwave for more than 10 Yrs now. This microwave is the 3rd one. Each Microwave that I bought average life span between 1-3yrs and after that it just dies. I am limited to this GE microwave because of the color and size that I cannot buy a differdnt one. Features and power are very good BUT does it last long????? That’s why I am only giving 1 star.
