Meets our needs

It was purchased to replace a 20-year-old GE Profile microwave. It has the features we need and we expect it to last as long as it's predecessor. Only wish the fan was a bit quieter.

Good but not working as good as my older model

I loved my old microwave and when the handle broke I decided to buy the same model to replace the broken one. For some reason this newer microwave does not heat up the food as fast as my old one did.

GE Over the range microwave

The product is noisy when running because the vent fan cannot be turned off when in use. Also the cooking power is much less than the GE Spacesaver I owned previously.

Trips circuit breaker

After 2 years this unit trips circuit breaker everytime we open / close the door. Should have read reviews from other sites as this is an extremely common problem and definite design flaw. Only 1 year warranty so guess we are stuck and will need to find a replacement, but not GE

Be certain the microwave is on its own dedicated circuit.
Reset the breaker or replace the household fuse and try the microwave one more time.
If the breaker trips off again, unplug the microwave and contact service.

Microwave is fine, GE is just ungodly annoying...

Bought the microwave, installed it and it's been great. GE on the other hand is getting on my last nerve. I registered it for the warranty on it. I specifically made sure I didn't subscribe to any of their newsletters or any contact from them in general. I have gotten 3 or 4 emails from them since then and have replied to remove me, clicked unsubscribe, and have added them to spam, yet the emails keep coming.....
I would recommend this to a friend!
