Second microwave in 1-1/2 years

This is our second GE microwave in a year and a half. First one went out and fixed under warranty. Went out again after Six months. No warranty coverage. Would cost more to have it repaired than purchase another one. We were needing one right away and stupidly decided to buy the same GE microwave. It went out in one month! Waiting for warranty repairman to see if it can be fixed. Stay far, far away from this microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works ok but don’t like the clock / timer display

I don’t like the clock / timer display using a white light. This makes the numbers harder to see from a distance. The price is good and replaced my older GE. I was hoping for a direct fit replacement but needed some mods with bracket and top bolts. Outside vent did line up okay.

Not as good as I hoped

I really am not a huge fan of this microwave. It has a vent that automatically comes on as soon as you start to microwave something and there is no way to turn it off, it is extremely loud. The vent is also extremely loud when turned on!! I hate it! Also it’s extremely hard to see the numbers on the screen they seem to be dimmed down and there seems to be no way to brighten them up. Very disappointed in this microwave! Would not recommend it to anyone.
