While we understand it can be frustrating when something is difficult to see in the dark, microwave control panels are not generally backlit, which means that the lettering on the keypads do not have lighting behind them, we’re so sorry for any inconvenience that this causes. Do not like the panel where you press what heat level. Should be a light on it for evening use. Panel too dark!

Life of product too Short!

For the first time in my life I got All new appliances that matched. I bought middle of the line GE profiles and at 5 yrs microwave died! Refrigerator not working properly and stove…Wrll I don’t cook a lot, so it’s still ok. I’m sooo disappointed!

replacing JVM3160DF3BB

Our Jvm3160DF3BB Manu Jan 2017. I think the door was not quite making contact with the 3 relays on the microwave so it would blow the 20a fuse if you opened the door before the light and keeping went off. I replaced all 3 relays and it worked but too many times we would forget and open the door before it stopped and the light went off. Eventually the turntable would not turn off and opening the door blew the fuse. I decided it was time for a new one. I looked everywhere to find my exact model thinking all the mounting brackets would interchange and could not find anywhere. I found out the 3 just before the BB stood for 3rd modification. I ordered and received JVM3160DF8BB. They tell you the mounting brackets and bolts cannot be reused as the new is very similar but none of mounting holes are the same. We got it mounted and it is a nice unit and hopefully will last 10 years or more. Some stupid things i found is there is a clear plastic covering the control panel and it pulls off.. also there is a clear plastic covering the GE logo on the door. I do recommend this microwave for everyday use. Nice size etc and lots of cooking time...

Hm..................vent way too loud

Well, this microwave is not for me. Vent always comes on and is WAY TOO LOUD. Just to warm up coffee. Would not purchase again

I bought this after my last one died, and I couldn’t be happier. So far it works great and heats food up quickly. Installation was a four handed process, (if DIY), but overall as long as you already have a vent the insulation was pretty straightforward.
I would recommend this to a friend!
