Issues with installation

The installation was incredibly difficult -
1. front panel for charcoal filter was very hard to remove. 2. instructions in manual were incomplete. Read to see section A6 for instructions on charcoal filter - there is no section A6. 3. charcoal filter was not included - one place in manual said included, another said not included. Returned to place of purchase and another local big box store - neither one carries filter. Finally after call to GE, they informed me filter is on backorder but it is ok to run unit without it.
Once installed everything seems ok.

Very Quiet

Hope this lasts longer than the previous model. Our first GE Microwave lasted 15 years, the last one barely 2. At least this one is quieter and the dimensions didn't change this time so it was a pretty easy install. The vent was installed for a rear vent, but the instructions said it came ready for circulating. It was not. Other than that, pretty satisfied - so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replacement Microwave

I bought a similar GE microwave 4 years ago - almost to the day. It died! I bought a GE to replace it thinking it would be easier to replace as it would likely use the same mounting bolt configuration as the dead GE unit. WRONG ! Not a big deal, but I had to drill additional holes in the bottom of the cabinet that it mounted to.
Overall - it was pretty easy - only concern was drilling more holes within an inch of the other ones. Microwave works great - I would recommend this as an inexpensive unit!

The features with this microwave are convenient and nice to have options. The express cooking push buttons make choosing cook times the easiest of any microwave my wife and I have owned.
