The microwave works well. The only problem has been the smudges on the outside. I thought it was suppose to be smudge proof.

After just 1 year, the digital clock and sound went on the fritz and both fade in and out and rarely work. This is my second one of this model that has died in this fashion. It will cost 1/2 of the original price to fix. Seems like a pretty simple component to do correctly. No more GE for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just installed the microwave and it looks great. Very similar to the old model, which is a very good thing. If this is as good as my last GE Microwave, it will last 20 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good but could be better!

A decent product ruined by a couple of minor things. We replaced exactly the same make and model with this unit, and not a single mounting point was the same. Just keeping the same mountings as the GE unit this was replacing would have made installation so much easier. Also, why did GE get rid of the shelf that used to be in these units, it was a very useful feature. Overall a nice-looking unit, but it does not feel as sturdy/solid as the previous GE model

looks great and runs great and good price too and fit our old G.E. mounting plate so easy to install
