Great Light and Fan

The installation directions were easy to follow and was able to get it up in just an hour or so. The microwave is working great so far. The light is much brighter than my old micro and the fan is more powerful as well.

Poor Quality Control

I wished I could say that it worked perfectly out of the box but it did not. The turntable would not rotate and it would not put out any heat. If I manually rotated the turntable for a turn or two, it would rotate upon starting and seemed to work as it should. But the the next time I would use it, it would not rotate. I could not get it to consistently work after rotating. I called for service. The service person thought it could be that it possibly could be a control panel, magnetron or the turntable motor. After much hazzle, I got them to replace it with a new unit which seems to work fine. I've very disappointed that this problem was not caught in the quality control process.

I'm hoping this example lasts more that two years.

I've only had this microwave 2 weeks. Works fine so far. This is the third of this model I've had in 6 years. (I know, why would I keep buying the same model - it is very highly ranked). But, the magnitron of the first two went nuclear and I was told it was cheaper to buy a new example rather than repair the nuked ones.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My only problem is the high fee that Lowe;s charges for installation. I'm 85 years of age and cannot lift the microwave to install by myself.

I had an over the counter microwave from GE for 7 years and it needed to be replaced. I was unable to find the exact one anywhere because it is no longer available. This one is JVM3160RF9SS instead of JVM3160RF3SS. It is the same microwave but the installation was made way more complicated by changing the placement of the screws! WHY?!
