Not good

Very disappointed in this microwave. We always had good luck with GE appliances. Not this time. We noticed the clock started to flicker. A few days later the microwave would not cook. It didn't even last us a year and a half.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good but a bit noidy

This microwave is very similar to our last GE microwave but so far I don’t think the quality is as good. When it’s cooking or defrosting, it’s very noisy. Also, sometimes I hear rattling. Not sure what that is.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a replacement of the same unit. 3 months ago the led numbers started to fail. One at a time. I could not make out the time on the timer,clock, etc. 2 days ago the entire unit stopped working in the middle of making lunch. I purchased a new one on sale and got the extended warranty for the money I saved.
They also changed the installation holes on the exact same model. Simple install turned into an extra 30 minutes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

On our newer models, we have updated the installation hardware and screw placements. This is due to the newer spots providing more stabilization, which secures the microwave better.

Terrible and LOUD!!

This microwave is the loudest microwave I've ever owned. The volume of the fan is beyond awful. Every person who's been in my house since we've installed it has asked why it's so loud. You can't have a conversation when it's on because it's so ridiculously loud.
I hate this microwave and if I could give it negative stars, I would.

cheap feeling

compare to my last two microwave from GE with same model number this one feel very poorly made. even the door is very flimsy and thin. overall it was a major disappointment from my trusted brand . i hope this one last as long as my previous two without any extended warranty .I will look for different brand next time.

Newer isn't better

We purchased this microwave to replace a very similar GE model that was 15 years old. There is one major drawback with the newer units. Our old unit vented from the with an air vent also on the front. The new models have a series of openings on the top of the unit facing the ceiling but these are not required for top venting. Unfortunately, the unit doesn't come with any sort of cap or cover for the unused openings so they will be a dust trap. Disappointing.
