Numbers and menu too hard to read.

Works great. My only complaint is that the menu buttons and numbers don't have lights behind them. Makes them extremely hard to read.

Can't recommend this Microwave...difficult to use

I wouldn't recommend this product. Our previous 20 years old GE Microwave was easier to operate than this model. Problems: The buttons require you to push in very hard, much more than the simple "tap touch" in our previous model. For some strange reason, many functions won't work the first time you press a button (e.g. Cooking time, etc). We thought it was broken. Then we discovered that you have to OPEN and CLOSE the door to get a function button to work This is really a bother since it just makes it more cumbersome to operate. Nowhere in the instruction manual does it explain this. Maybe it's just that our Product is faulty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No backlight on control panel

Everything about this microwave is great EXCEPT one thing: the control panel is not backlit. Only the clock. So, every time you use it you must turn on your kitchen lights and put on reading glasses just to see the control selections. Very inconvenient. Our old GE from 2007 had this feature!

After installing the door won’t open all the way because the door when open is wider than 30 in. And hits the cabinet door beside it. The one I took out didn’t do that.
