We've experienced a couple great features

This the perfect microwave oven installed in our kitchen., we like the various uses that we'd like within this product., only thing is the 1st one before the replacement the door handle broke which showed us the only weakness but we like it alot...

The surface light gets scary hot very quickly. The heat from the light radiates throughout the microwave.

It is not abnormal for the surface light to become hot while in use. If you continue to have issues with the microwave becoming hot due to the surface light, we do recommend scheduling service with one of our certified technicians to ensure the normal operation of the unit. GE can do better and become great again.

Same model I had before that gave us trouble several times. Not happy that the SAME model didn't use the same mounting bracket, didn't have the overhead screw holes in the same place, and I couldn't save the glass turntable plate because it was slightly too big.

I like everything about this microwave except for the light. It is so weak, even on the highest setting, it is no help lighting up my stovetop underneath.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beware of faulty electrical issue

This is a replacement because out old one failed after just 4 years. The first failure (of the old one) was that the the breaker would trip of we opened the door while oven was on. Eventually it would trip every time the oven was used. We would have got a different brand but there are not a lot of options.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
