Be better if you could see lettering

Not that well made. Door doesn't really line up correctly. Have to lift it to close.
Lettering is impossible to see.

Poor quality conrol

Bought unit retail. Had to return it as door was misaligned (1/2 inch below rest of cabinet) when closed. Can't understand how this unit passed quality inspection.
Also installation instructions contained error. Generally unit was inferior to GE model it replaced. Fortunately I was able to locate a replacement of the previous model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Product Performance Good - Quality Control Poor

1. Vent fan motor not set up for internal re-circulation as installation manual indicated so the fan had to be rotated.  2. No charcoal filter included as installation manual indicated so call made to GE parts and they will send it separately.  3. Nut for self-aligning bolts holding the microwave from the overhead cabinet above came loose during installation and fell into the microwave shell so installation had to wait for a new oven.  GE did send a replacement microwave when call made to customer service.  Previous microwave failed after 6 years and I had hoped that this unit would fit the mounting bracket and hardware.  Not the case - original back bracket and mounting holes were off by just a few inches.  Overall: price was very competitive, customer service at GE helpful and delivery personnel (Alberto) was very polite and easy to work with. 
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not the quality I expect from GE

I am not happy with this purchase. Every time I open the door I am reminded of how cheaply this is made. It is hard to open , noisy, hard to close. It just doesn't feel like quality. I don't care for the operation. If I want to warn something for 15 seconds I want to push 1,5,start but I have to select Time Cook,1,5,start and these buttons are spread all over the key pad. The keypad doesn't always register my touch. In which case, if I intend to cook for 15 seconds and the 1st push of Time Cook button doesn't register then the second push of 1 starts the microwave for 1 minute. Then I have to cancel and start over. The turntable started emitting a growling sound after a month. Scheduling service was not difficult but it is a pain to deal with. If I had it to do over I would not buy a GE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this to replace my old GE Over the Range microwave. It doesn't have as many features as my old one, but good overall.
