Uneven cooking, not a happy customer

We have had this microwave for about two months now and I am not happy with it. That is something that I have never said about any microwave that I've owned through the years. First, it was very difficult to install and we never did figure out how to adjust it for not having an outside vent. It said to remove the grill but we follow directions and it wouldn't come off. Second, it cooks hotter than any microwave I've used so need to adjust the time down. It also cooks unevenly, bacon is partially cooked in places and burned in others. If it hadn't been so difficult to install (and remove) I would have returned it. Third, the door is noisy to open and close. When it closes, it bangs loudly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Most of the aplicances I have are GE as have good luck and many years of service from everyone I have purchased

Good appliance, difficult installation

Looks great. Reheats food quickly.

Disappointed

I have used this microwave for two days and am so disappointed. There is one light inside the microwave and it doesn't do a great job. The control panel is not backlit and I either have to turn on a light or use a flashlight which isn't very effective.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Readout on Cooking Control Panel

I have always liked and bought GE Appliances, but their GE Model JVM3160RF2SS Microwave is such a disappointment. I can't read the cooking control panel because the background light is too low. I had to put labels on the panel to read it! I hope GE reads this and corrects the situation. My last microwave was a GE and I had no problem reading the cooking control panel readout.

I had a GE space saver microwave prior to this one. It felt a lot more solid that this one. This has a tinny sound to it when you open and close the door. It is also hard to get the streaks out of the stainless steel. I have other stainless steel appliances and it is not the case with them.

I bought this unit a little under two months ago. At first it was just fine, but now, when operating it makes a loud noise similar to either grinding gears, or an engine running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
