A good looking and working Microwave

We are looking forward to a long happy relationship with our new GE Microwave, have had no problems and it works like a charm! I especially love the the Timer selection - I use it for everything that I need to set a time for.

I upgraded several appliances and replaced tiny counter microwave with the over-range microwave/range hood. Looks good, works well and I've reclaimed counter space.

Nice microwave shame about the fault!

I bought this microwave to replace a GE space maker I had bought four years before where the control panel had become faulty. I had read that there was a problem with that particular model and was hesitant to buy another GE but went ahead. After two weeks the exact same problem happened and I had to get the control panel changed, fortunately under warranty this time.
I'm not sure what the issue is here but GE needs to get it sorted out. It has put me off buying their brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything I need

The microwave is my main cooking appliance. This model replaced a fancy high end GE Profile model with all the bells & whistles, most of them never used. This one does everything I need & does it well for half the price. Good value.
GE: Please design your wall mounting plates and top cabinet templates to be interchangeable among models. Silly me, assuming I should replace a GE with another GE to avoid more holes in the cabinet, avoid replacing the mounting plate, and avoid more holes in the wall. I might as well look at other brands next time.
