Frozen entrees have cooking instructions for 1100 W, and it makes a difference. I was disappointed in the cooking aspect of the microwave. The clock numbers aren’t big enough to see from the other side of the room and that’s disappointing, too.

Problem with Cancel/ Off selector

After only a month pressing Cancel to not hear so many beeps when done is acting up. Under warranty but expect will have to pay someone to remove and install a replacement over the regular oven.

The multiple beeps that you hear once the microwave cook timer has reached zero is there to remind you that your food is finished cooking. The multiple beeps are useful if, for instance, you are in another room and your food finishes cooking.

Brand new home with appliances.

So we have bought a brand new home in 2017 came with brand new GE appliances. Not even 14 months and yep the JVM3160RF5ss done. Out of warranty and totally Ticked off.

Nice Microwave, less than perfect installation.

I bought this new GE microwave in hopes that it would simplify the installation since I was replacing another GE microwave. That was not the case. The mounting bracket was very similar, but just different enough that it had to be changed. The vertical exhaust port is too close to the edge of the unit. With a 3/4" thick kitchen cabinet back, it puts the port right up against the inner cabinet surface making it difficult at best to connect the exhaust duct. Lastly, the molly bolts provided with the unit were rubbish. One was crushed in the package and the others were so flimsy that I dare not use them. I bought new molly bolts of sufficient strength to do the job. Otherwise, we have very happy with the microwave. I would think that GE would have kept the bracketry the same from model to model of the same size as an enticement to continue buying GE products.
I would recommend this to a friend!
