Touch pad is not user friendly. It has a mind of its own. Would probably help if a

GE Microwave is the best

This is another GE Microwave. They have worked wonderfully. Functional, Easy to install. Easy to operate. Best of all a great price.

Quiet and Great Value

I've only had it up a few days but so far so good. It is really quiet and does the job well. It also looks sleek.
It doesn't have the bells and whistles the more expensive models have, but I never used most of the buttons on my old unit anyway, so this will work just fine.
For me install was easy, but I replaced an older GE unit with the same dimensions and mounting, so just replaced the old bracket with the new one in the same spot and up it went.
I would recommend this to a friend!

LOUD, Cheaply Made and Clunky

We replaced our old model with the exact same one since we had been pleased. Much to our surprise the newer "same" model is nothing like the original which we loved.
In use it sounds like a plane taking off. It is LOUD, LOUD, LOUD. It also feels like GE substituted quality parts with cheap materials. Maybe this is a supply issue problem but our advise is stay away from this microwave!!!
Since you always have to say something nice - it is relatively inexpensive and it does work. But the time it takes to make popcorn, reheat coffee or pizza is about 25% longer.
Conclusion: totally feel disappointed in GE and if we had to buy it all over would choose a different microwave.

Note: If the fan is oriented to exhaust vertically or out the back it should be significantly quieter than if it is vented out the front of the unit. The only way it would be louder is if the duct downstream of the unit is blocked. One way to check this out is to turn the vent blower on and see if it holds a piece of paper against the filters on the bottom of the microwave. If it does not hold the paper then there is an installation issue.
Also in regards to the door, if you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension.

Circuit breaker pop every time

I had this microwave for about two years now . Every time for the past 6 months I can not use it. Every time I turn it on to cook the circuit breaker goes off. I thought it was the outlet but then I took it down and tried every outlet in my house and I’m getting the same results . Very frustrated . Now I have an empty space over the range and no microwave . It looks terrible and I don’t know if I should buy another one

Okay but came without mount bracket

Gets the job done

It works well. It’s taken some getting used to compared to our older version of the same model. Biggest complaint we have is we have to push the add 30 seconds when it pops popcorn, but other than that it’s been a great product.
I would recommend this to a friend!
