Great product/Mind of its own

It is a great microwave, looks clean and works great. However, I had my stove top on and microwave running at the same time in the hot weather and it automatically started to vent. Scared me and was worried that it was broken however, in a half an hour it turned off and it vented wonderfully. Great product!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Updates kept this one a keeper

Purchased this model to replace older GE model that went bad after 10 years. We chose this model because it was similar in size and features. We were glad we kept with GE. This one has been a very good appliance for us. It has a few more features that we have enjoyed. The only drawback is the lettering and numbers on the buttons are hard to see in dim lighting. If relying on light under unit to see, may have to hit some other buttons until light comes on.

Easy to nstall. Easy o use

I had a GE Microwave that lasted 14 ears. It died last week, so I replaced it with another GE Microwave. It was easy to install and it is easy to use. All mykitchen appliances are GE I wouldn't buy anything else.

Reliable Microwave

I bought this to replace a 10 year old GE space maker. It worked great, only replaced to upgrade to stainless appliances. This one has worked great!

Keypad rearranged, as if, just to make it different. High use buttons, like 30 sec no longer at bottom, but now up by the #3 button.
And the over range light bulbs are burning out so often, we put a lamp next to the stove.

Sleek, quiet, easy to use, bright task light

We have not had this microwave long, but we can already tell that it has some advantages over our previous 7 year-old model by another company. The task light is nice and bright, the turntable can be turned on and off, the controls are easy to use even without the manual, although the buttons should be lighter for people who need reading glasses or have poor vision. The microwave is quieter than our previous model. So far, the unit seems solid and should hold up fairly well over time. We have it vented externally, but it does come with a charcoal filter for those who use the recirculation feature.

Buttons on control panel too hard to push. Speaker that makes beep noise died after 5 months. Repair man didn't have part to fix it when he came(even though they had the model number and serial number for my microwave) Had to reschedule and wait for part to be shipped. New part that was shipped was damaged due to improper packaging. Had to reschedule appointment again and have another new part shipped. 2nd part shipped damaged AGAIN! Repair man said it looked OK and wanted to know if I wanted to order another part or he could just install this one and see if it would work. I gave up and had him install it. HOPE IT LASTS!
