perfect for our use . . .

This is a great microwave. I don't use it to do the majority of my cooking, but is great for melting butter, heating leftover, popcorn, auto defrost, etc.. I don't need a microwave to really do more than that. It looks nice, and is an updated design that looks more modern. I love this and for the price its perfect. Also, its a breeze to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased to replace an old free standing micro wave. Installation was relatively easy and the performance is as expected from a GE appliance - excellent

Replaced a 1996 GE microwave

Our 1996 GE over the range microwave gave out. We were very happy with our 1996 microwave so we bought another. We are happy with the purchase, and the price less than the 1996 unit. Unfortunately the mounting bracket and overhead hole pattern was different than the old unit. This wasn't a big deal but did mean more work to install the microwave.

Microwave is excellent in operation. Very user friendly. The only hitch I have was a charcoal filter is not included with the microwave. This filter is supposed to be used if you don't vent the appliance to the outside. I would guess that most installations the microwave vents back into the room. Trouble is then you have to find out that you need the filter. Outside of that...the microwave is a very nice unit.

I love how this microwave functions. The only down side is that the key panel is too dark, the letters don't standout, you have to look close to read them. I would have rated it as 5 star otherwise.
