We are unhappy with the workmanship of this product. The door closure is very awkward and will not open easily when we pull the door by the handle. The closing mechanism seems cheap and probably will not last very long. We almost have to push the door to close properly. Not in keeping with GE quality of past models. The flat button panel is difficult to operate with the buttons requiring several attempts to be engaged. The writing on the buttons is problematic as we are seniors and require larger lettering with better contrast. In all -- a bad choice for us although we are loyal GE appliance owners.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

iT was difficult to install as it had a different hang up than
the old microwave that we replaced. The new one is
working great!

I bought this microwave because I love not having to put in the zeros aftr 1, 2, etc. but wish I could read the panel without having to turn on a light.
