Disappointing

I've always been a huge fan of GE products. But this microwave failed to deliver. Door is extremely hard to close and feels cheap. Panel has become worn looking just after 2 months from wiping. I don't know what type of cheap plastic they used but the first time I wiped it with a soft kitchen towel, it left hairline scratches. It works fine as far as far as cooking food but the construction is poor. As soon as I have funds available, I will replace with another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Almost everything about this unit is very good except for the control panel. It's impossible to read the text in the dark buttons. I need to turn up the kitchen lights to see what I'm pushing. A whiter text and button outline would be 100% better.

Happiness is my new replacement GE Microwave

I'm not Grumpy anymore.. Old microwave died.. This replacement does everything to do that I bought it for. Not complicated- easy to operate. Easy to install.. No hassle that is what I like.
