We bought this to replace a GE Spacemaker that finally died after 17 years. It doesn't have all the features that the old model did (some of which I miss) but so far I've been able to cook (and I do cook with it - not just heat coffee and frozen meals) without as many pre-programed buttons. It's very quiet, plenty of power, cooks evenly - love the stainless finish -print-resistant and easy to wipe off - and the door is relatively quiet when open and closed but still solid. The only complaint that we have is that installing the carbon filter was a ....bear. The instructions were not adequate (and confusing) - they should mention that you have to pry/release the catches behind the filter grate and pry the grate off from the door side (gently with some effort - it's on there so snugly it feels like it might snap) so you can insert the filter. It does not 'lift off' like the instructions say. It took us longer to install the filter than it did to install the bracket and mount the microwave. Install the filter before you mount it on the wall! Also, the key pad is very dark - it would be nice if the icons could be better defined/lighter, they are very difficult to read without a lot of light. I'll have them memorized soon though!

Tough install

I bought this to replace replace a GE microwave. Over the range. While it is basically the same model updated. I had to install a different mounting bracket and drill all new support holes and power cord hole. Who ever designs these should keep this in mind.

Two minor complaints.

Lacks a "hold warm" function, and the control buttons are hard to red in dim light. Would deb better if they were back-lit, or if the numbers on the buttons were much brighter. Otherwise, a good unit.

this microwave doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" of more expensive models, but if you just want to be able to basic cooking/heating you'll be happy with this one.

I bought my microwave a few months ago to replace the one installed in my new home 13 years ago. The original (same brand, similar design) lasted all these years. I decided to go with the same and I am sure I will not be disappointed.
