I bought the oven in in May and it works great, easy to install, plus it makes my wife's cooking lots more easier.

This oven was installed and then discovered the digital display didn't work. It had to be taken out, returned to the store and replaced with another one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Warning about defects

The quality of this microwave is fair. Nice looking. Great stove top lighting. Nice that it has the 13.5 heating area. Took three times to get one that did not have defects so that was three weeks of having service people out to my home. But three times is the charm.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When our last microwave died we searched reviews for a replacement. This unit rated well and was very reasonably priced. It has worked well for us. The only improvement I would make is to light the key pad.
I would recommend this to a friend!

problems from day one

My last microwave over stove lasted almost 20 years.
Bought this GE microwave and from day one when cooking on stove. unit would overheat and fan would run constantly for an hour. Year and a half later. microwave beeps, stops functioning and shows keypad short on display panel.
DONT THINK THIS MICROWAVES ELECTRONICS CAN HANDLE HEAT AND STEAM FROM COOKING ON STOVE UNDER IT.

The door is loose and rattles. Keypad does not light up, can't see the numbers or letters to push. Cheap made.

I purchased this microwave in July 2016 after my previous oven died. I chose it because it had all the same features I had in the previous oven. It is very quiet and installation for the most part was simple but required two people.
I would recommend this to a friend!
