Surface light

I purchased a new GE microwave and was surprised after a few days the surface light went out. I called the store where I bought it and they sent someone to fix it. It seems it was the light element was out. I had to wait a couple of days to get a replacement. It now works but I think that the light is not as bright as it was before.

We'd like to assist you with your microwave. This unit uses a 120 volt, 50 watt (max.) halogen bulb. Please refer to page 16 of the owner's manual for directions on how to replace the bulb. Here is the link:

Easy to use

The reason I gave it a 4 rather than a 5 is because the same model that was in my house was barely five years old and it went out. I replaced it with the same model because I liked it and had the features I needed. I am hoping that the new one lasts more than five years--I am confident that it will.

Amazing how quiet this microwave oven is. Plenty of features for everyday use without unnecessary buttons. Heats food evenly and quickly. Can't complain, and if I did, I would be a terrible person because I am an adult and chose this microwave.

My exact microwave from 3 years ago quit working. In order to make things the easiest and I did like the microwave I bought the exact one just updated. The new one is much more noisier than the one from 2021 and the buttons on the microwave are harder to press. The GE emblem on the top is not placed in the center it is off to the right side and looks awkward. Otherwise it is the same and I like it.
