good basic microwave

Its a great microwave but a beast to install as the template didn't match. I still have a slight tilt in it. I love the features, express buttons and it heats pretty evenly. The vent doesn't bother me and is actually decent. The time is a little hard to read from a distance and too bright. But overall, very decent microwave for the price. It looks fine as well.

Okay and hard to installl

Lots of clicks and noises as buttons or features are clicked. Installation instructions were not very helpful and surprised there was not a video support install method to watch and follow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the look, feel and functional utility of the new microwave, however, after only a few uses, the front panel letters are starting to wear off ALREADY. Such a disappoint for such a beautiful appliance

Beautiful, sturdy microwave! Love how it works so far - heats up the food fast! Lots of features, including vent fan and surface light, which makes buying a stove hood unnecessary. I highly recommend this microwave!

All New Appliances

In February of 2021, I had a complete remodel done in my kitchen. For this project I selected all G.E. stainless steel appliances, figuring G.E. has been around for so many years and would surely be the best choice for the money! The appliances are all very attractive, but after 3-1/2 years, I've already had to replace the 28 cu.ft. french door refrigerator twice; the light switch on the oven suddenly would not shut off after using the broiler for the first time and for only a couple of minutes; the microwave sounds (beeps you hear when pushing the buttons, beeps you hear when the oven or timer is finished running) all stopped functioning completely, so I can't even use the timer. Now the dishwasher is becoming more difficult when it comes to pushing the necessary buttons for operation. I had all the appliances except for the microwave on a 5 year extended warranty. When something goes wrong, you have to go online and request service with Assurant. There are no available service agents for the area of Montana we live in, so when I wrote in for service on the refrigerator and stove, they ended up giving us a pro-rated gift card toward the purchase of new appliances. We did replace the refrigerator--but not the stove. My husband ordered a new switch and he and I replaced that. It's really disappointing when things like this happen, especially after only 3-1/2 years of use! I am so glad, however, that we decided to put the extended warranty on these items; otherwise, we would have had to pay full price for what we've replaced!! We are now going to replace the microwave since the touchpad sounds don't work. It's been a really great microwave otherwise!! We'll see what happens with the dishwasher, I don't really want to replace that yet, because it runs really great and gets my dishes clean every time!!
