JVM3160DFWW charcoal filter

My installation and owners manual say that it comes with the charcoal filter and the microwave is setup from the factory for recirculation. I am reading contradictions to this on this page. I'm not happy about this and will need to talk to GE about getting my filter sent to me as well as the proper setup for the fans/ducts.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is our 2nd GE Microwave at this house. The first one still worked, but the plastic started breaking, first the handle on the door, then other pieces. Parts were too expensive, so we bought a new one. The unit itself works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this microwave oven. So why does GE use such cheap light bulbs? Both bulbs in the surface light feature broke (not burned out, broke) within two months. The glass bulbs separated from the threaded metal connector and I had to shut off power to the unit and dig out the bulb bases with needle-nose pliers. The filaments in the bulbs were intact so they would not have burned out. The fixtures the bulbs screwed into were baked and brittle. I'm thinking 40 watt bulbs are too much. I am a homeowner with above-average skills but the average person would have to call an electrician to fix this. All because GE

Old GE died, time for another

Wanted to get replacement to match other GE appliances. Disappointed that the size was not exactly the same and shims were needed, tough installation. Previous GE products were made with better quality.

I was concerned about the height of the interior as I reheat my travel cup numerous times during the day. It turned out to be perfect! Otherwise, it functions pretty much like a standard microwave. I had to purchase the stainless steel color to replace another, which matched the other appliances (a major pain with fingerprints), which is the biggest complaint I have, though this has nothing to do with the microwave itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!
