We bought this microwave in october of 2016. We had the same trouble with the bottom lights that many others have described. Then, in January 2018, after only 14 months in service (2 months beyond the warranty), it started tripping the circuit breaker every time we tried to use it. This is a problem, again, that many other reviewers have described. We also found the door very difficult to open, you really have to give it a good pull to get it open. We were happy overall with its performance as far as cooking/heating food. But I certainly expect an appliance to last longer than 14 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The microwave works great but the keypad is difficult to see without turning on an over head light. The keypad should be illuminated.

Push buttons are difficult, reheat is not easy to use.
Defrost difficult. Closing door is loud ,not user friendly and not happy.
Liked the 20 year old microwave better.

Good size and all the features are great. The only drawback are the buttons. You really have to push hard for them to work.

I bought it in December and I love all the features. The heating of food within is all evenly distributed. The panels are easy to read and figure out giving you many options. GE products are very dependable

Works good. Touch buttons seem a little oddly placed; difficult to see in low light. Door kind of makes rubbing noise. "Captured" mounting nut in top of body had come loose in shipping; sheet metal had to be removed to remove nut and replace in "capture" position.

Hard to open and close door. Poor interior lighting. One touch features are nice!
