Am I nuts?

I bought the same model this week that I had purchased in 2016 mainly because I did not want to change the mounting bracket for a different brand and I actually like the look of the microwave. The last one I purchased in November of 2016 and it did not even last 1.5 years! So I'm sure hoping that this one will last a lot longer otherwise I will be done with GE products. Of course I did not buy the extended warranty on the 2016 model but I really think that a microwave should last for more than a year and a half.

My microwave is dead after 17 months.

The microwave started tripping the breaker within a half year of purchase. I initially blamed the users for opening the door while the microwave was running. I would reset the breaker and all was good. Last week it would not run more than a split second without tripping the breaker. I have a dedicated 20 amp breaker. I hoped the breaker was bad. To test this I plugged the microwave into another 20 amp breaker outlet and the microwave still tripped that breaker instantly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a few months ago and am overall happy with the Microwave. The only con is I wish the controls on the unit were backlit. I am memorizing the different buttons, but at time have to get a flashlight to read them.

Bought this microwave based on the ratings. Time will tell. The last one lasted 3 years (another brand) before it began blowing the circuit breaker. Very easy to install

We had a GE microwave for 15 years. It finally died. So we went with another one. Installed it myself with the help of my wife and it works great.

Basically good but not as good as the GE microwave it replaced. Does not cook as fast and the location of the add 30 seconds button should be at the top or bottom of the row it’s in to find it easier.

I hate the thing there is no back lighting so for older people that need light and glasses to see the number or settings
