The Perfect Replacement For Countertop Microwave

I bought this microwave about 8 weeks ago to replace my countertop microwave. My wife bought a new toaster oven and the countertop microwave had to go. I found out quickly that I couldn't live without a microwave. Due to a lack of free countertop space, my only option was an over-the-range microwave. The GE microwave hit the mark! It was relatively easy to install and it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Disappointed Buyer

I bought this a month ago when my previous GE microwave's motor burnt out. This looks, sounds, and feels cheap. From the door that always sticks, to the garish bright white led display (my previous microwave had a sort green led display), to how loud it is when in use, to the lack of basic programming capabilities (such as a surface light timer). This is a huge disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

control panel too dark

installation by a professional was required in my case. once the unit powered up, control panel hard to see during broad daylight. the clock display also needs to be more readable. numbers too close together

Easy Install/replace

I purchased this to replace the exact same model that came with my new house. Thank you GE for not changing the dementions! I just hope this one last longer then 2 years. It seems to be built a little better.

1st one only lasted 22 months

I bought this exact model on June 16, 2016 and it burned out on April 28, 2018. It blew the 20 Amp 125 Volt internal fuse which indicated a major fault. It was cheaper to purchase a new one than fix the original one. It only had a 1 yr warranty.
The only reason I bought another one was because I already had the mounting bracket mounted to the wall and I would have had to modify the granite backsplash behind my slide in range. Also it is one of the few microwaves offered in bisque color. All of our existing appliances are bisque color.
I don't recommend purchasing this microwave unless you have a specific reason to do so. There are better, longer lasting microwaves for sale.

Solid choice

Our 11 year old GE spacemeker stopped working. It was black color.
We wanted to have stainless steel.
Thie JVM3160RF was exactly what we were looking for. It fit into the same spot perfectly and it works quieter than previous GE model.
