I bought the microwave 10/2016 and last month (05/2018) it stopped working! The microwave was causing the circuit breaker to trip. I have read similar reviews (causing circuit breaker to trip) of some GE microwaves on the internet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased for color and features and price. Like the two 40 watt bulbs for the under lighting. Panel selections are great, but the numbers are hard to see in poor lighting. We are overall pleased with the purchase. All brands seem to vent up towards the cabinets. Our old one vented straight out the front into the room......better for protecting the finish on cabinets. Hope this one lasts 12 years like the old one.

I love my new microwave

I brought my GE microwave couple weeks ago, I'm so pleased, so happy I went with GE product. I remolded my entire kitchen with GE appliances.

A great oven with only one complaint. It would be nice to have the control board lighted for easier viewing.

I purchased this in Sept of 2017 and installed in October of 2017 it was to replace a previous Microwave oven that failed to work any longer, I mainly use my microwave for reheating, defrosting if I forgot to take out dinner last night, popcorn, and sweet potatoes. I am that person that does not believe real cooking can be done or should be done in a microwave.
I love this one, it is the perfect size, and has enough bells and whistles for when the kids come by. I don't think they are made to last any longer. so I purchased this one at a great price from a company I trust. thanks GE.

I've only had this microwave for a week, but it is exactly what I wanted! It replaced my old GE OTR microwave that was nearly 20 years old. This one is the same sleek black color, and matches the color of my stove. It has very intuitive controls, is 1,000 watts, and is nice looking for a microwave. Works well!!
