Simple design

My last microwave died after ten years. I researched high and low and decided on a basic model. I don’t need bells and whistles, I just need a microwave to reheat my tea and defrost frozen meat. This microwave does just that. Easy to use, sleek design. If you’re looking for a simple microwave that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, this is for you!

Started Making Noises

I have the JVM3160RFSS model in stainless steel. About the time the warranty expired, the revolving tray would sometimes start making a "grinding" noise. I've cleaned it many times, but the problem seems to be coming from the internal gears. The tray still turns and the oven still heats food quickly. But this has me worried. Also, I don't care for the control panel. I have to turn on every light in the kitchen to see which button to press because they are not back-lit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like it over the stove, it is a large size for 13x9x1 dish, I likethe express cooking times and popcorn cooks great. It has a modern style and is easy to clesn.

Difficult to install

Just installed as a replacement for my 8 year old GE Profile Microwave. Difficult to install if retrofitting to an existing top vent system. Mounting bracket should be made differently to fully accommodate all installations

Powerful, but could be better designed

Replaced age over the range microwave with this one. It's more powerful. Same great features. The worst part about it is you can't read the buttons on the display. The contrast in low light is impossible to read.
