Only lasted 36 months before it broke

Very disappointed in the quality of this product. It started popping the breaker at only 36 months and we determined it’s the microwave. Very disappointed to have to replace something only three years old.

Microwave works. Underpowered fan, bad display.

The microwave works great and seems powerful. Note that the mounting bracket for the microwave is a U-shape, so if you only have a single stud where you're mounting it you'll need to drill additional larger holes for toggle bolts. This was not very fun to do into porcelain tile! Our previous microwave had two horizontal brackets, so it was mounted into the same stud twice.
We have the microwave venting to the outside from the top, and the fan is loud but weak. Had I known the fan was this weak, I would have considered more expensive models.
The time display is pretty bad (see photo). The ":" between minutes/seconds (or hours/minutes when displaying the clock) touches the numbers. It makes the whole microwave look cheap and shoddy. We've opted to *not* configure the clock on the microwave because the time display looks so bad.
Overall, the microwave function works great, the fan is weak and loud, and the display displays time poorly. If you need an affordable microwave and care little about the fan functionality or how the display looks, then this is a fine model to choose.

every 3 years we have to buy a new one. we are not heavy users but only last that long. this year the mounting brackets were changed which messed us up. Only reason i bought this one was because i thought the brackets were lined up. WRONG!!!!

Final time!

This is my third GE microwave. The first one lasted five years and died after super storm Sandy. It would not start up after superstar I’m standing. The second one lasted approximately three years. It just died two months ago. This will be the final time are you give GE a chance with their appliances. There will not be a fourth time I enjoyed buying US, but not a 4th time.

Not built to last

We purchased same GE model because it was the only black over the range microwave available and it would be an easy DIY install since the bracket was already on the wall. Previous unit only lasted 3 years which was very disappointing. Hopefully this unit will last longer. Not happy with the white LED display. Previous green LED was better looking.
