GE Microwave

Not very happy with installation. The paper template used for drilling holes is poor . I don't understand why the bracket on the wall and the holes in the tops are different from model to model..... Secondly, the unit once installed and the protective film removed from the stainless front showed a dent right out of the box! Not very happy but not going to uninstall since it was such a pain. The door doesn't quite line up with the top of the right side but the thing works. This is the third unit in 12 years. The second one a better model(installed 2016) just died after 3 years for no apparent reason after only being used for only 7 months a year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Every time I buy GE I have no weird issues all the other brands either break,doors don’t line up,or techs in and out cause of leaks I’m sticking with GE

Easy to navigate the control panel

We are not so pleased with this microwave. It does not heat evenly. For example, when fixing bacon the outside pieces are crispy done, even to the point of not being edible, and the middle pieces are still in fat raw. We originally had a GE and it did not perform so irresponsiblely and it was 10 yrs old. That's why we purchased another GE. The uneven heating on the new one is just not good.

It is recommended to layer bacon strips on a plate and cover each layer with a paper towel, then microwave on high (power level 10) for 3/4 to 1 minute per slice. Please keep in mind, bacon continues to brown after standing up to 5 minutes.

The microwave is cut off

This is the worst microwave it start cut of. After 2 year and curing my stove off . Had someone to come check it out the told me this is the third time someone call them about the same thing . They have had it about 2 year also.
