Very easy to operate

Love that this microwave is very quiet and easy to operate. I just use it to reheat leftovers. Its price was reasonable and all of our kitchen products are GE and are very reliable!

Clean, modern looking & has a variety of features

Needed a new microwave oven, old one worked after 22 years but the handle broke so off for a new one, was a quick and easy decision. Brought it home and started using the next day. Lots of options for cooking, nice light and easy to clean. Yea!

The price is great for all the features, undermicrowave light, easy to see buttons, wide handle, very quiet when running, like the defrost reminder feature to turn item over do not need to vent outside of house.

This microwave has very basic functions that don't perform as specified. It will warm up a plate before the food and I wouldn't recommend putting frozen meals in it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love GE products!

I replaced my old GE microwave from 1993 (still working) with a new GE stainless microwave. Still the same product quality. The new one seems a little quieter though. I will always turn to GE for reliable products.

Dead at four years of age!

After exactly four years my microwave went dark. I checked the fuse box and it was fine but tripped it for a few minutes and then put it back on again - nothing. I unplugged the plug and kept it off for a few minutes and then put it back on again - nothing. I cleaned the filters - nothing. My previous GE microwave lasted about ten years. I only use the microwave to reheat - very rarely for cooking an item. Four years of life for a microwave from GE is not acceptable. My range and dishwasher are GE and I am happy with them. Is there anything else I can do - or do I just have to go out to get another microwave?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
