Broke within 2 years

I bought this relatively inexpensive microwave and it went dead within 2 years. I replaced the main fuse but that didn’t fix the problem. Now I need to find another microwave with exact same brackets and mounting spacing.

I bought the unit 11 months ago. The air filters kept falling out until I bent them. Then the exhaust fan started making a load noise. I have called for service. Do not buy this model.

Cheap Microwave - poor design

We love GE appliances but very disappointed in this microwave! #1. No keypad lights makes it VERY difficult to read! #2. No GE signature lapel only a cheezy GE stamp! Disappointed in keypad layout. Purchase price was cheap but so is the workmanship of this microwave therefore only 1 star. GE discontinued the one we purchased 5 years ago and replaced with this JVM3160 Model. Dissatisfied customer!

Handle broke off at 16 months

Purchased 9/30/2017. Handle came off in my hand on 1/30/2019, four months after warranty expired. Lots of reviews report same problem. Some report it happening in warranty, being repaired, and then happening again. The quality on this microwave door handle is clearly very poor and GE should quit making and selling it.

Control pad is very bad!!!

The unit is very quite and work OK. But the control pad is Bad , Keys are not very hard to see, need to be back lit. I should have returned it to the store where I bought it! No I would not recommend it to anyone.

Was a very nice sleek looking microwave, but it has seemed to short out after not even two years, was professionally installed. Just don't understand. Has been taken care of properly. Guess I just got a bad one. I guess it's just a roll of the dice.

Not A Satisfied Customer!

Our old Microwave was a GE so we decided to stay with the GE products and we purchased this one. We are sorry we did. The new one is flimsy and cheaply made. Not up to GE standards. The square where the time is displayed is very hard to read. The numbers and semicolon blend together. The lighting is very bright white making this product situation inferior.
