Reasonably priced, limited functionality

I bought this wireless printer less than 2 years ago. Easy instructions on how to set up with my wi if and desktop; occasional problems with recognizing the signal, but remedied with additional tries. Does use a LOT of ink and will not work without the PGM black ink cartridge or other colors cartridges if empty. Then, all of a sudden, it stopped printing with the 1403 error...”wrong printhead. Install appropriate printhead.” Bewildered, as it was the printhead that came with the printer and had been printing since purchase. From most of the reviews I understand this is a common issue with no reasonable solution besides taking a sledge hammer to it, (You Tube), purchasing a new printhead - at exorbitant price costing more than the printer- IF one can be found, or throwing it out and buying a new printer. I choose the latter. It’s hard to tell if I got my money’s worth out of it, but I wouldn’t recommend it...begat is a non issue, for I understand Cacon has discontinued it. I just don’t know how what I’m going to do with the new cartridges I’ve purchased!

Never got scanner to work

I have tried several times to get the scanner to work including downloading new drivers. No luck
